What it's built for
- Tears and puncturesGlue a patch over the hole on both sides if you can reach them.
- Torn cornersPatch the corner on both sides so a new grommet has something to hold.
- Keep one in the truckA small tear fixed today doesn't become a split tarp next week.
Know-how from nearly 15 years in tarps
-
Clean and dry first
Wipe both surfaces clean and let them dry. Vinyl cement doesn't hold on dirt, oil or water.
-
Round the corners
Cut the patch at least 2 in bigger than the hole on every side and round its corners, so they don't catch and peel.
-
Press and wait
Coat both surfaces, let the cement get tacky, press hard, and leave it to cure before the tarp goes back on a load.
Questions we hear most
Does it work on poly or canvas tarps?
It's made for vinyl (PVC-coated) tarps, including our flatbed tarps and vinyl mesh. Vinyl cement doesn't bond well to poly or canvas; use tarp tape on those.
Can I get a size or color you don't list?
Often, yes. Tell us the size, color and job, and we'll come back with the options and a price. Request a custom tarp.
Do you sell in bulk?
Yes. Mix sizes and colors in one order, shipped from Houston, Texas, with one contact for reorders. Ask for a quote.
