What it's built for

  • Dump trucksKeeps gravel, dirt and mulch in the bed at highway speed.
  • Dump trailersSmaller sizes for trailer beds.
  • Covering loose loadsMany states require loose loads to be covered. Mesh is the standard way to do it.

Know-how from nearly 15 years in tarps

  1. Measure the bed, not the truck

Measure the top opening of the bed. 7 x 16 ft fits most dump trailers; 7 x 18 ft and up fit dump trucks.

  2. Mesh is for loads, not weather

It keeps gravel, dirt and mulch in the bed. It is not a rain cover.

  3. Why mesh at highway speed

Air passes through, so the tarp doesn't balloon and fight the tarp system on the road.

  4. Cover every load

Many states require loose loads to be covered. A mesh tarp that stays on the truck makes that a habit.

Questions we hear most

Will it keep rain off my load?

No. Mesh lets air and water through on purpose. It keeps the load in the bed.

Which size fits my truck?

Measure the top opening of the bed. 7 x 16 ft fits most dump trailers; 7 x 18 ft and up fit dump trucks.

How should I tie it down?

Use every grommet. Rubber tarp straps or bungees stretch with the gusts, so the tarp stays put without tearing at the grommets. Rope works on a cover that doesn't move, as long as it stays tight. See our tarp straps.

Is the listed size the cut size or the finished size?

Cut size. The finished tarp is about 3 to 5% smaller after hemming. If you need every inch covered, go one size up.
